New Years Eve (Annual 'load of old bollocks' Thread)
Worst night of the year?

Not been 'out' on NYE for about 5 years now. Use to love it when younger, plenty of booze, fanny and a right good vibe but last NYE I went out (local pub) it took me ages to get a drink, place stunk of once a year drinkers and idiots making a nuisance of themselves and then the usual post new year row outside of the pub.

As for Auld Lang Syne, new year resolutions and wishing a load of cunts happy new year - what a load of false pretentious bollocks.

So for me it is a roast dinner withg the family, few drinks at home, bit of TV and bed

"Ooo it is the best night of the year" No it isn't, it is a NORMAL night with more cunts out than usual

Back in the day when living in Romford in my yoof it used to be about Ritzy, Hollywoods and McCluskeys where if you didn't buy a ticket a month in advance you weren't getting in as it WAS a great night, I bet now you can stroll up to a club and get straight in.

So what are you cunts up to? House party? Out on the town?

Few friends over, bottle of red and a few beers.

Paying to goto a local pub full of pissed up cunts? Yours.

I think it's a great night out. Everyone is in a good mood etc. The only thing that winds me up is the overpricing nonsense. Go to a restaurant you always go and it's more expensive and you have to have a set menu.

This year I'll be going to a house russell.

Restaurants are OK but as you say, increased prices for what? Used to LOVE NYE now I see it as a normal night just full of more cunts than usual. Christmas I can get on with, NYE is just BOLLOCKS

Seriously though, PAYING to get in your LOCAL when you go all year? Fuck off, so what, it is busier than normal why should you be allowed to charge to go to a PUB?

I don't really get it.

No different to any other day for me, as I couldn't really give a shit what the year was.

Always just stay in and a mate will come round with his missus for some drinking games, which invariably end with them being sick, arguing and splitting up.

Drinkers = go for it

People in London linking arms = massive cunts

New Years is about Getting a bit tipsy on NYE and staying up til midnight just to say 'Happy New Year' to the Missus and kids and getting in to bed before the fireworks finish where, if Im lucky, I might have a bit of a Fumble with the Doris.

Getting up at a reasonable hour on the New years day and helping the missus cook a roast with a glass of Merlot or Malbec in tow and finally sprawling out on the sofa 'til bed time watching what ever horse shit is on the TV.

Its not very glamorous but I aint 20 any more either so its alright

Don't get me started on the UTTER CUNTS that stand in the cold on the Embankment from 2pm just to get to the front to be on TV when shitty fireworks start (usually Japanese)

There's a few on there who I'd like fired up with the fireworks Mike.

The wannabe yank Joss Stone can be the first to go.

And yes I'd obviously love too ;o)

"This will be my year"
"This year will be the best ever"
"It cannot be any worse than last year"

Yes it can, there will be disasters, something in your life will go wrong and it will be just another number this time 2015 instead of 2014

Re: New Years Eve (Annual 'load of old bollocks' Thread)
It's alright, just keep it fairly low key. The good lady Descent tried to make me go to some £100 a ticket bash, that's the sort of thing you avoid on NY, not that it won't be decent but it won't be as good as a party indoors, swing round to a local for the celebrations, then back home for an after party. That's what we're doing anyway, always the best craic.
